Judging from the articles that were(we) read from msnbc and Huffington Post, which are typically considered as left leaning, it was obvious that they wrote favorably of the movement. Left leaning media focused on the positives of the movement, talking about their conquests and achievements. The media makes it apparent that the movement has spread to many U.S. cities, as well as cities across the world. They only touched on the negative actions if it was harmful to the group or bystanders. Immediately, they wanted to relate the movement to the people by claiming to represent the "99% of the country." According to their research, the wealthy people of this country, 1% of our population, have almost tripled their income in the last 30 years. This is alarming because the middle class' income has only increased by just under 40%. They want to return to democracy by ending corporate influence in our government. The left leaning media tends to give examples of how the corporations have established such a dominate presence in the government and the lives of the people. They portray the protesters as restorers of true democracy and portray the police and national guard as brutal in their attempt to extinguish the occupation. They thought that occupy wall street protesters could start getting what they really wanted, instead of being trapped by the government. The movement is depicted as a victim against local government, police force, and those against it. They also blame the lack of media coverage for the lack of progression of the movement. Occupy Wall Street is the liberal media's brain child. Occupy Wall Street is fighting against the injustice.
*I think this summary is good with all the additions above. It gets the main point accross, and provides a clear and detailed picture of the Left leaning Media and their view. The examples provided are alse very stong and add to the depth of this summary*
